It’s like Metallica once sang “Smashing through the boundaries, lunacy has found me, cannot stop The Battery. Pounding out aggression, turns into obsession, cannot kill The Battery”. When you think about how those lyrics paint a violent picture, you begin to understand how the violence in the picture the film The Battery portrays is like a painting… I have no fucking clue what I’m talking about! The Battery is a zombie film made by a few friends for a fraction of what it cost to make World War Z. What should sell you on this film is “Terrence Malick and Cormac McCarthy make a zombie film”. In fact, that should be the tagline on the poster.
